What Is an NTTA Registration Block?
If you are in arrears on your toll payments, your vehicle may be vulnerable to a registration block. The North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA) is among the government agencies that may impose registration blocks on “scofflaws” who have not paid their tolls.
Those subject to a registration block are considered “habitual offenders,” having amassed at least 100 unpaid tolls and received two notices of such nonpayment within 12 months. The habitual violator has the opportunity to address the issue or pay the tolls within 30 days of receiving the registration block notice. The block remains in effect until tolls are paid or a payment plan is implemented. If you received a notification regarding an NTTA registration block, contact an NTTA lawyer at Peveto Law.
